Position Summary:

We are actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Clinical Outcomes Manager. Reporting to the Medical Affairs department, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in collaborating with our customers to define, track, and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) that showcase the tangible benefits of our innovative medical diagnostic.

Commercial Growth & Adoption:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and gain insights into current-state workflows and performance related to sepsis management and clinical workflows within the emergency department.
  • Design and support commercial evaluation pilots/trials to assess the real-world effectiveness and outcomes of interventions, focusing on measuring customer KPIs and understanding implications for hospital reimbursement.
  • Collaborate with customers and the Commercial team to define and articulate key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to customer evaluations/trials as well as long-term adoption and success.

KPI Measurement and Reporting:

  • Develop and implement processes to track the performance and effectiveness of the IntelliSep solution in improving clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
  • Utilize data to provide insights into customer-related metrics and the potential impact on patient outcomes and hospital reimbursement.

Medical Communication:

  • Act as the medical expert, drawing on your experience and knowledge of sepsis detection and management, established standards of care, published data, and key opinion leader insights.
  • Prepare and present reports and presentations communicating data-driven insights, specifically addressing customer-related KPIs and the potential impact on operational efficiency, clinical outcomes, costs of care savings, and hospital reimbursement.
  • Build data dissemination plans to effectively communicate clinical data and medical insights through medical conferences, publications, and education programs.
  • Establish professional learning needs and define educational requirements to ensure the safe and effective use of Cytovale solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of scientific publications and presentations highlighting the influence on customer outcomes, ROI, and reimbursement strategies.

Practice Guidelines and Hospital Reimbursement:

  • Stay up to date on relevant guidelines developed by healthcare organizations, professional societies, and regulatory agencies to standardize and improve the management of sepsis (e.g., Surviving Sepsis Campaign Guidelines, CDC, CMS, and Value-Based Purchasing incentives).
  • Organize and collect meaningful insights through strategic professional engagement interactions with external experts via one-on-one interactions and advisory boards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in clinical, industry, or research settings related to sepsis management, quality, and performance improvement or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • BS/BSN and Post-graduate degree (MS or PhD) in a health-related field.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and gathering insights for process improvement.
  • Proven ability to make recommendations for process enhancements based on data-driven insights.
  • Familiarity with hospital billing, coding, and reimbursement processes, with the ability to understand and analyze implications for reimbursement based on trial outcomes.
  • Customer-facing experience in the medical device or healthcare industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience in medical communication to diverse audience groups.
  • Knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) and their relevance in the healthcare context.
  • Experience with designing research studies and interpreting data.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment and effectively prioritize project timelines.
  • Self-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding expectations.
  • High ethical standards applicable to interactions with healthcare professionals, payers, and industry representatives.
  • Working knowledge of relevant software programs (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Products, Medical Communication tools).
