WHY THIS MATTERS

Noetik is bringing together driven, creative people from disparate scientific disciplines to solve the hardest problem in drug discovery - finding the right drug for each cancer patient. We imagine a future where foundation models trained on petabytes of multimodal patient data become the engine for finding new drug targets and biomarkers - for reimagining the taxonomy of disease and ultimately making patients’ lives better. This is an ambitious vision, and to make it possible we need an ambitious team. If this is you, please come join us.

THE OPPORTUNITY

At Noetik, you will work alongside a highly technical interdisciplinary team working on hard and impactful problems. We are looking for folks that are excited to engage deeply and also bring an immense urgency to make an impact.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to join our team, focused on supporting cutting-edge spatial omics experiments on clinical samples. The ideal candidate will have solid lab skills, demonstrate strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a multidisciplinary laboratory environment at the interface between Spatial Biology and AI model generation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with multiplex staining and slide preparation.
  • Operate imaging systems following established protocols.
  • Assist with routine QC, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Contribute to protocol optimization and process improvements as experience grows.
  • Gradually take ownership of defined workflows.
  • Cross-train across spatial biology platforms.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field, with 2-3 years of hands-on lab experience in academic or industry settings.
  • Direct experience with multi-step protocols and experience with human tissue sections.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow SOPs with high precision and consistency.
  • Strong documentation habits and attention to detail.
  • Growth mindset and eagerness to learn new platforms.
  • This is an onsite laboratory role. While most work occurs during standard weekday hours, some experiments may occasionally require weekend coverage (e.g., Saturday or Sunday). When weekend work is needed, team members can flex their schedules during the week accordingly.

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to histology, in situ hybridization, immunofluorescence or similar techniques.
  • Experience with FFPE tissue handling.
  • Familiarity with fluorescence microscopy.
  • Experience in a collaborative, cross-functional lab environment.
