Vitra Labs is a venture-backed biotech startup whose mission is to curb the rise in infertility by making IVF accessible to everyone. **What you will be doing:**

In this role, you will be designing tools and methods to optimize differentiation of mouse and human pluripotent stem cells to early oocytes. This will include:

- Developing high-throughput assays for differentiation testing.
- Performing and improving molecular biology workflows including cloning, PCR, Gibson assembly, DNA sequencing, and stem cell transfections.
- Interfacing with computational biologists to identify/test targets and design experiments.
- Maintaining clear laboratory documentation.
- Contributing to a tight-knit, collaborative, and positive company culture.

**Your Qualifications:**

- 4+ years of experience in a synthetic biology / stem cell lab.
- PhD or equivalent in Molecular/Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or related discipline.
- Experience developing transgenic cell lines.
- Experience executing experiments using standard molecular biology tools (e.g. PCR, DNA purification, cloning/DNA assembly, DNA sequencing), flow cytometry, collecting data, and presenting findings to a wide variety of audiences.
- Startup and/or management experience preferred.
